EUDY Developing Countries Workgroup
The workgroup European Union of the Deaf Youth Developing Countries, in short EUDY DC, was established in 2008.
Aims
- In keeping with the principles of full and equal citizenship for all the Deaf People in Developing Countries, which is without any sprit of profit, are:
- a) The EUDY DC shall, when necessary, use special, legal or administrative measures to ensure that Deaf Young people in every Developing European Country have the right to preserve their own sign languages, organisations and their cultural and other activities.
- b) To promote and supports the interests all the Deaf people in Developing Countries within the European Union and in Europe.
- c) To improve and support Deaf association in EU and Europe is the main aim of EUDY DC.
The definition of a Developing Country is focusing to the Human Rights of Young Deaf. If there is any lack of Human Rights, Education in Sign Language, the right information, of the activities for young Deaf people, then it is called Developing Country, related to Deaf.
The board shall consist of six (6) active members and one (1) observer or active, which is a board of EUDY.

Also, we would want to thank the former members of EUDY DC, Ana Navas- Spain, Ellen Seau- France, Thora Hubner- Germany and Philippa Merricks-UK who resigned from the EUDY DC for several reasons, for their contribution. Without them, our workgroup won't be same as now.
